Lumio

A pocket solar lamp that charges anywhere the sun does

Tech & EnergySolar-poweredPlastic-freeRepairable

About Lumio

Lumio folds flat to the size of a passport and unfolds into a warm 220-lumen lantern. Four hours of afternoon sun buys you a full night of light — no cables, no outlets, no batteries to replace.

The shell is anodized aluminium and cork, held together without a drop of glue. Every part unscrews, so a worn cell or hinge is a five-minute fix instead of a reason to buy a new lamp.

Took mine camping last weekend — a full charge off one afternoon of sun. The hinge feels really solid too.

That is exactly the use case we designed for. The hinge is a single piece of anodized aluminium — no glue, so it is fully repairable.

How does it handle cloudy climates? Asking on behalf of the entire city of London.

The lime colourway is gorgeous. Any plans for a bigger lantern version for the garden table?
