Privacy policy

The short version
made.eco collects the minimum we need to run a community product-discovery platform: your account details, the content you publish, and privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. We don't sell your data, we don't run ad trackers, and you can delete your account yourself at any time.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the name and email Google shares with us. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and never visible to us.
- Profile information. The username, name, bio, website, and profile picture you choose to add. Your profile page is public.
- Content you publish. Products you submit, comments you write, and votes you cast. Products and comments are public; votes are shown only as aggregate counts.
- Analytics. We use Plausible, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool. It collects aggregate page-view data only and cannot identify you.
Cookies
We set cookies solely to keep you signed in (authentication session). There are no advertising, tracking, or third-party marketing cookies, which is why you don't see a cookie banner.
Where your data lives
Your data is processed by a small set of infrastructure providers acting on our behalf:Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in the EU),Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery),Gumlet (image delivery), and Google (only if you choose Google sign-in). We never sell or rent your personal data.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. If you delete your account (Edit profile → Danger zone), your profile, email, and profile picture are permanently erased. To preserve the integrity of the community record, your published products remain live credited to “[deleted]”, your comments remain in place with the author removed and the text replaced by “[deleted]”, and your votes remain counted but are fully anonymized.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Most of this you can do directly: edit your profile at any time, or delete your account entirely. For anything else, contact us and we'll help.
Children
made.eco is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you on the site.
